The handle of this beautiful awl is turned from Apricot wood, and features gold fittings. Measuring 20cm in length, the metal fittings add weight and the shape of the wood handle combine together to fit comfortably in your hand.
Also known as a scratching awl, they are used for scribing lines, or for punching holes in soft materials such as leather or vinyl; and to make small holes in wood for starting nails, drill bits, and screws.
Unique and practical, this awl would make a great cherished gift for a sewer or handyman. It could even be used for an ice pick.
Standing 10cm high this pair of salt & pepper shakers are hand turned from 'Mulberry' wood and are finely sanded and finished with traditional wax. Chrome tops screw onto a glass inner tube.
Although there are some knots in the wood, this is a natural occurance and only adds to the unique beauty of wood.
These quality hand turned salt & pepper shakers are made from 'Flowering Plum' fruit wood and finely sanded and buffed with wax to give them a very smooth polished finish. Standing 10cm (4") high, these fine pair of shakers have glass inserts and chrome screw on lids. As with the nature of wood, this set has a few small knots, which adds character and indiviualizes the pieces.
